Scene of the Battle of the Harlaw, in the heart of the Garioch, a ferocious clan battle fought over one day in 1411, just five minutes from the Inverurie Whisky Shop, the starting point of our tours and home to an extensive collection of over 350 outstanding whiskies.
At the Inverurie Whisky Shop we have quickly established ourselves as one of the North East of Scotland's premier destinations for buying high quality Whisky. We now aim to bring you even closer to Scotland's National Drink through our Whisky Tours!
Focusing our Trips in the North East of Scotland's famous Highland Whisky Region, we have a stunning array of distilleries ready to welcome you in as part of your visit to Scotland.
Established in 1797, Glen Garioch (pronounced 'Geery') is one of the oldest operating distilleries in Scotland. Situated in the historic market town of Oldmeldrum, Glengarioch have been handcrafting a beautiful range of natural, non chill-filtered single malts for over 200 years. Only ever produced in small, precious batches, Glen Garioch is a rare find indeed and a treat for the senses with quality in every dram.
This iconic distillery sits on the banks of the Glassaugh burn, at the east end of the beautiful Sandend Bay. A desire to produce the finest and most exciting malts permeates every nook and cranny of Glenglassaugh. Try their handcrafted vintages to get a true insight into the history and the heart of Glenglassaugh.
Unchanged since 1898, Ardmore still employs traditional distilling and warehousing methods where the water is still drawn from the springs that sit on the top of Knockandy Hill. Ardmore is a peated single malt whisky shaped by its deep-rooted connection to the land, people and wildlife of its Scottish Highland home.
